TQUK Print

Below is guidance for centres delivering TQUK Print for Functional Skills exams. It covers booking in Verve, dispatch/collection responsibilities, secure storage/distribution, invigilator form on Saras, returns to TQUK, SLAs to marking, and the policy on changing dates.

Booking and delivery

Exam bookings must be made via Verve with 10 working days notice. Each learner must have a unique email address, so their paper is generated for them. After a successful booking, the exam shows in Verve as “Pending Exam.” For more information on booking a Functional Skills exam, click here.

The Print and Certification Team will dispatch the exam to the name and address entered in Verve at booking. Packages cannot be explicitly labelled as exams. Centres are responsible for collection from the named recipient/location in Verve.  Missed, missing, or damaged papers can prevent learners from sitting their exams.

Package arrival and storage

You’ll receive:

  • guidance on secure storage and distribution
  • a TQUK Print overview (FAQs and how to find the online invigilator form on Saras)
  • a secure return envelope (optional to use)
  • confirmation that a three‑person quality check has been completed for the exams and their contents.

Store the exams in a locked, secure environment until the exam date. Each paper is pre‑allocated with the learner’s name on the cover, and from page two onwards, a QR code shows the learner's name and email. Please ensure that you issue the correct paper to the correct learner, as papers issued incorrectly may be voided.

Completing the Invigilation Form

The Invigilation Form must be completed within 24 hours of the exam. If it is not completed within this timeframe, the exam will be voided. For full instructions on completing the form, please click here.

Rescheduling, returns, and marking

Exams cannot be rescheduled and must be sat on the date booked on Verve. If you cannot run the exam, return the posted papers securely and await confirmation that they’ve been voided before rebooking.

All printed materials, including unused exams, must be returned within 24 hours of the exam via a secure courier. Do not destroy or dispose of any paper (may trigger a compliance query). Centres cover return costs, monitor tracking, and resolve courier/postal issues or update TQUK directly.

Once TQUK receives the returned exams and the online invigilator form is complete, they will be processed/approved within 48 hours. This timeframe can be extended if there are delays with the returns. Once approved, the exams will start showing as 'Pending Marking’ in Verve and will be marked within six working days.
