Saras is our exams platform, used to deliver, invigilate, mark and issue results for online examinations across a range of qualification types, such as functional skills qualifications and apprenticeship assessment.
Accessing Saras
Saras is a web-based application. There are several modules handling assessment production, delivery, marking and invigilation. Users have access to the specific modules they need to perform their role in the process.When learners are booked onto an exam, they are sent an email with login information to access their assessment.
Key features
The core features of Saras are:- assessment production and item authoring
- remote assessment delivery, where learners access the system and sit their exam on-demand and from any suitable locations in a secure browser
- invigilation of remote exams is conducted by monitoring recordings from remote assessments
- online exam delivery, where learners sit an exam on the online platform in the presence of an on-site invigilator
- paper-based exams, authored and produced in Saras can be issued by TQUK to be sat in the traditional method
- results are issued by the system when the assessment process is complete.
